Drs. Michael S. Jacobson, Scott I. Lampert, and Atul Sharma listed in Atlanta magazine’s July issue, Drs. Jay Stallman and Mark J. Rivellese included in Castle Connolly Top Doctor online listing
June 26, 2014 (Atlanta) — Five doctors from Georgia Retina — one of the largest retina-only medical practices in the southeastern United States — were recently honored as Top Doctors in metro Atlanta.
Drs. Michael S. Jacobson, Scott I. Lampert, and Atul Sharma were named to the 2014 list of Top Doctors in the July issue of Atlanta magazine, and both Drs. Jay Stallman and Mark J. Rivellese were included in the prestigious Top Doctor online listing by Castle Connolly healthcare research company.
The Top Doctors listing is compiled annually by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. — an established healthcare research company based in New York City. The organization also compiles Atlanta magazine’s list of Top Doctors annually. Doctors are nominated for consideration through both a nationwide survey and a peer nomination process open to licensed doctors in DeKalb, Fulton, Cobb, Clayton, and Gwinnett counties. Castle Connolly’s doctor-led team of researchers then select the Top Doctors through a rigorous screening process that includes an evaluation of educational and professional experience.
Georgia Retina CFO Paul Lucas said the practice is honored to have its doctors recognized as Top Doctors. “We’re incredibly proud that Drs. Jacobson, Lampert, Sharma, Stallman, and Rivellese have been included in these prestigious lists. It’s a wonderful reflection on them and the entire practice for the amazing care they provide to the Atlanta community,” said Lucas.
