Venkatkrish Kasetty, M.D.

Biography

Dr. Venkatkrish (Krish) Kasetty is a fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon at Georgia Retina, specializing in complex retinal disease and uveitis. A Georgia native, he studied biomedical engineering at Georgia Tech before earning his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where he earned the distinction of Chief Resident. Dr. Kasetty then went on to complete his vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the Duke Eye Center, the birthplace of vitreoretinal surgery and one of the most prestigious programs in the country.

Dr. Kasetty treats the full spectrum of retinal conditions, including retinal detachments, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusions, dislocated intraocular lenses, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, and uveitis. He is committed to delivering compassionate and innovative care that helps patients restore and preserve their vision, and works closely with other ophthalmologists, optometrists, and specialists to deliver the best possible outcome.

A prolific researcher, Dr. Kasetty has authored over 20 publications on vitreoretinal disease and uveitis, presented his work at national conferences, and serves as a section co-editor for the RETINA Journal. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS), and the Vit-Buckle Society, and serves as an investigator on multiple clinical trials – connecting his patients with the latest emerging therapies and innovations in retinal care.

His accomplishments have earned him numerous honors including the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation Fellowship, induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society,  and a research grant from the Vitreoretinal Surgery Foundation.

Outside the clinic, he is an avid Liverpool FC supporter. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, exploring new restaurants, and staying active through pickleball and tennis
