Retina Specialist to Practice at Georgia Retina Stockbridge and Conyers Offices

Georgia Retina — the state’s largest retina-only private practice — continues to grow and expand its services with the addition of retina specialist Dr. Hyung Cho.

Dr. Cho is currently seeing patients at the Georgia Retina Stockbridge office (175 Country Club Drive, Suite D; 770-907-9400) and the brand new Georgia Retina Conyers office (2395 Wall Street, Suite 280, 678-374-7050).

Georgia Retina CFO, Paul Lucas, said, “We are very excited to have Dr. Cho join Georgia Retina. His presence in Stockbridge and at our new office in Conyers will greatly help us expand our services to patients in Henry and Rockdale counties.”

Dr. Cho is eagerly anticipating his start at Georgia Retina. “I’m very proud to be a part of such a highly respected practice as Georgia Retina,” he said. “I look forward to serving the communities of Stockbridge and Conyers.”

Dr. Cho received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a graduate program of Yeshiva University. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York. He then completed a retina fellowship at Tufts New England Eye Center and Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston in Massachusetts. Dr. Cho has written several book chapters, published several peer reviewed journals, and has been a sub-investigator in more than twenty clinical trials. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Association of Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Retina Specialists.

At Georgia Retina, patients’ vision needs are the top priority. As one of the largest retina-only medical practices in the southeastern United States, Georgia Retina specializes in treating diseases of the retina, macula, and vitreous. Its eleven board-certified ophthalmologists have received special Fellowship training in vitreo-retinal diseases and surgery, and are engaged in clinical trials with the goal of advancing research into retinal diseases, their causes, and their cures
