Dr. Kubra Sarici is an ophthalmologist specializing in medical retina and uveitis, with advanced training from leading institutions in the United States. Originally from Turkey, she earned her medical degree from Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Medical School and completed her ophthalmology residency at Istanbul Training and Research Hospital. She then gained extensive clinical experience in Turkey, including five years at a high-volume retina center.
Dr. Sarici furthered her expertise through fellowships at Duke University, where she completed both Medical Retina and Genetic Retinal Diseases fellowships. She is currently completing a Uveitis fellowship at Emory University, expected to conclude this summer. Additionally, she has received training in Ocular Oncology at Wills Eye Hospital.Her research interests include utilizing artificial intelligence for retinal image analysis and disease modeling, particularly in conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and uveitis. Dr. Sarici has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and has presented her findings at national and international conferences.
At Georgia Retina, Dr. Sarici combines her extensive clinical experience with cutting-edge research to provide individualized, evidence-based care for patients with a wide range of retinal and inflammatory eye conditions.
Outside of her professional work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
