Kubra Sarici, M.D., is an ophthalmologist with extensive international experience in general ophthalmology, retina care, ocular oncology and uveitis. She has performed more than 1,000 ocular surgeries, including complex phacoemulsification procedures, eyelid reconstructions and post-traumatic ocular and periocular surgeries. With more than five years of experience in a high-volume retina department, she has advanced expertise in treating retinal diseases through laser photocoagulation, intravitreal injections.

Dr. Sarici completed her medical degree at Istanbul Cerrahpasa Medical School and her residency in ophthalmology at Istanbul Training and Research Hospital. She went on to serve as an attending ophthalmologist and department chief in multiple hospitals across Turkey. Afterwards, Dr. Sarici pursued subspecialty training at leading institutions in the United States, including fellowships in medical retina and inherited retinal diseases at Duke Eye Center, an ocular oncology fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital and a forthcoming fellowship in uveitis and medical retina at Emory Eye Center. She also completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic’s Cole Eye Institute, where she contributed to research on machine learning applications in retinal disease.

An active researcher, Dr. Sarici has authored nearly 30 peer-reviewed publications and presented at major international meetings, including the American Society of Retina Specialists and EURETINA. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, ASRS, ARVO and the Turkish Ophthalmology Society.

She combines her extensive clinical experience with cutting-edge research to provide individualized, evidence-based care for patients with a wide range of retinal and inflammatory eye conditions. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
