Georgia Retina (GAR) is proud to welcome two accomplished ophthalmologists, Dr. Kubra Sarici and Dr. Nancy Faux, to our team of specialists.
Dr. Sarici brings more than 10 years of international experience in ophthalmology, with advanced expertise in retinal disease, uveitis and ocular oncology. She specializes in the management of complex retinal conditions such as genetic retinal disorders, inflammatory eye disease and ocular tumors. Dr. Sarici completed her medical training at Istanbul Cerrahpasa Medical School, her residency at Istanbul Training and Research Hospital, and advanced fellowships at Duke University, Emory University and Wills Eye Hospital. Her research has focused on artificial intelligence in retinal imaging, predictive biomarkers and prognostic models for retinal disease.
Dr. Faux specializes in vitreoretinal surgery and comprehensive ophthalmology. A New Orleans native, she completed her residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and her fellowship at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago. She earned both her Doctor of Medicine and a Master of Science in pharmacology from Tulane University School of Medicine. Her work includes peer-reviewed publications on retinal disease, glaucoma, spine surgery and patient outcomes, and she has presented nationally and internationally.
Dr. Sarici will see patients at our Macon Water Tower location and Dr. Faux will see patients at our Northside, Gainesville, Braselton and Tucker locations.
