Biography

Dr. Daniel Oh is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of retinal diseases. He graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in chemistry. He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, in the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology track. During medical school, he completed a Howard Hughes Medical Institute research fellowship focusing on diabetic retinopathy. He completed his internal medicine internship at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and his ophthalmology residency at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary of the University of Illinois at Chicago. During his final year of residency, he was selected as a chief resident. He also completed a premier vitreoretinal fellowship in New York City through a combined program with Columbia University, NYU, Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, and the Vitreous, Retina, Macula Consultants of New York.

Dr. Daniel Oh decided to pursue a career in ophthalmology because of the impact he could make on patients’ quality of life. He enjoys forming meaningful and long-term relationships with his patients and is committed to providing each of them with compassionate care. His subspecialty of retina often draws challenging cases, including those referred by other physicians. He regularly collaborates with other physicians through his active memberships in the American Society of Retinal Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, in addition to his work as a reviewer for several ophthalmology journals. His research has been featured in major journals including the American Journal of Ophthalmology and JAMA Ophthalmology.
